Bedroom Producers Blog released GB DrumBox, a sample-based Game Boy virtual instrument in VST, VST3, and AU plugin formats for any digital audio workstation on PC and Mac. The plugin was developed by SampleScience. The instrument is based on a set of freely downloadable Game Boy samples that were previously recorded and published by Bedroom Producers Blog.

GB DrumBox is an eight-channel rompler instrument. It contains twelve drum kits, each with a set of eight Game Boy samples. The user can adjust the volume, pan, and decay time for each channel. The filter cutoff, reverb level, attack time, and modulation are applied globally. The plugin also offers multi-out functionality. If multiple outputs are used, the global filter and reverb effects will turn off automatically.

The instrument is compatible with all VST, VST3, and AU plugin host applications on PC and Mac. Both 32-bit and 64-bit hosts are supported.
