8Dio Misfit 1 String Diddley Bow

Welcome to Misfit – an unusual collection of 15 deep-sampled instruments – following the musical tradition of flicks like Breaking Bad, Dexter, There Will Be Blood, The Master or them fine video games like Left4Dead etc.

The 1 Stringed Diddley Bow (+4.300 samples) has been built from a wooden cigars box, a wooden stick and one guitar string. Also, the neck of a bottle has been used for the slides in order to achieve a totally unique sound.<br />
We recorded the 1 Stringed Diddley Bow at both slow and fast legato slide speeds – and with true vibrato associated to the legato. We call it True Gelato baby!

Our idea was to approach the roots of modern music, a raw and gritty touch with an aroma of the authentic old-style blues.
