Infrasonic released Audio Warp Core
Infrasonic released Audio Warp Core, a digital stereo phase distortion oscillator for Eurorack and our first hardware product.
Phase distortion is a uniquely digital synthesis method invented in the 1980’s which is capable of generating a wide range of sounds. Coupled with phase modulation (which itself is a type of phase distortion!), CV control, and additional tone-reinforcing capabilities, Warp Core brings new timbral universes within reach of your modular system.
Warp your modular system to new galaxies!
Featuring
- Eight phase distortion operations in two serially-routed slots provide 64 possible complex tone shaping combinations – thick leads, evolving basses, and more
- Internal and external phase modulation enables everything from classic FM tones to chaotic digital noise-scapes
- Optional sawtooth or triangle windowing over output waveform to tame discontinuities and achieve classic CZ-style waveshapes, or something totally new
- Secondary output with 90-degree phasor offset and variable detune amount for lush stereo or blended unison timbres
- Innovative tuning system with optional pitch knob lock and semitone quantization for perfect pitches every time
