Embertone released Recorders

Embertone released Recorders, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt featuring an SSATB (SOPRANINO, SOPRANO, ALTO, TENOR, and BASS) quintet of recorders recorded with an insane level of detail and supremely sampled.

Five years in the making, Embertone’s self-explanatory Recorders release replaces Ivory Wind, its first foray into wind instrument sampling with an 80-year-old tenor recorder made of real ivory and wood, which was also one of the company’s first ever experiments with true sampled legato. Loved as Ivory Wind has been by its creators, Recorders takes everything the company collectively learned during that half decade and packs it into capturing a lovely-sounding set of beautiful, handmade specimens, scripted by Casey Edwards to capture a stunning 4x round robin legato so that users can play ultra-realistic trills and repetitive phrases, together with control over VIBRATO speed and intensity alongside DYNAMICS control and added REVERB.

Returning to its roots, it is a true thrill for Embertone to let this expressive set of sample-based virtual instruments — comprising 6,900-plus recorded samples served up in Native Instruments’ NCW (Native Compressed Wave) format (designed to save an imported .WAV audio file using compression so the file uses less disk space) as a 5.5 GB installation at 44.1 kHz/24-bit stereo sample resolution — roam wherever they please their musical masters. Make room in recordings for Recorders by adding it to KONTAKT collections today!

“This is a really simple instrument,” concludes company co-founder and composer Alex Davis. “It has all of our experience built into it, though. We’ve been working on it for a long time — all of the developments that we’ve made over the last five years working with instruments like this, and I’m so proud that we were able to pack all of these samples into one really beautiful, really intuitive interface where you can combine instruments if you want to. You can pan and adjust volume. We’re really inspired to finally be able to share this.”

Recorders can be ordered online and directly downloaded from Embertone at an attractive introductory promo price of $50.00 USD until August 31, 2016 from here:
