Splice Sounds released Hot Sugar: Fountain Pack
Splice Sounds released Hot Sugar: Fountain Pack.
Nick Koenig, better known by his stage name Hot Sugar, is a record producer based in New York City. Hot Sugar has always been keen on incorporating unique sounds in his productions, but with this sample pack he takes things to a whole new level. He shares that the pack was inspired by the boundary-pushing art of Marcel Duchamp, who believed that anything could be art if conceptualized in a particular manner. True to this spirit, every single sound in Hot Sugar’s sample pack is made by, out of all things, a basic toilet. Slamming lids, rising water, rattles, and more have been sound designed into drums, fx, and synths that are surprisingly pleasing, utterly unique, and viable in any mainstream production.
