Techivation released T-Clarity, an audio plug-in designed to clean muddiness and boxiness in audio. It is a powerful tool for making your mid-range sound more solid and consistent. It’s very common to have an unpleasant sound from 200 to 500Hz in most recordings and mixes, and those unwanted audio effects are usually referred to as muddy sounds. A muddy sound is mainly caused by not having the right balance in the sounds. Boxiness is a similar unpleasant sound coming from a frequency range of 250 and 900Hz in many recordings.

A common way of fixing muddiness is to cut down the frequencies using an EQ, however, it comes with the price of having your overall sound changed, as muddiness may only occur at some parts of your sound source or mix. A more frequently used method is to use dynamic EQ,s, but they often make the final sound unnatural, as they may badly affect the frequency balance.
